Everything You Need to Ace Math in One Big Fat Notebook Review

Hello parents and grandparents!  Welcome to my Everything You Need to Ace Math in One Big Fat Notebook: The Complete Middle School Study Guide review; another resource guide in this fine series that qualifies as one of my best books for middle school boys and part of a series of five great reference study guides that get it done!

If you have never visited my site, then you should know that I have a son; and for all of you parents and grandparents out there who are continuously challenged as I am, we do what we can to accommodate for our son's and grandson's development and enjoyment.  You should also know that I never review a product that I would not purchase myself on behalf of my son.  I have read the reviews from customers who have read this book so that I may better help you to make the right decision.

This reference study guide gets it done and would be nice addition to any middle schooler’s reference materials, and another one of my good books for raising boys!

Quick Overview

  • The Good: Fun, easy to understand
  • The Bad: No index

My overall take: Math is not an easy subject for many, but this study guide puts it all together in such a way that it takes something challenging, and makes it easy to understand and fun by attracting your son's or grandson's attention, and keep it!

The Good:

Parents agree that this book is a great reference guide that gets it done and is helpful addition to any middle schooler’s reference guides, because your son(s) or grandson(s) will actually enjoy math through better understanding, and in a way more suitable to their liking.  Also, this study guide is genuinely loved and accepted by those who use it, and highly recommended as well making it ideal for both formal classroom middle school students as well as those who are home schooled because it puts them in a much better position to succeed.

The Bad:

This resource study guide does not provide an index in the back of the book as one might expect, and for that matter does not have one at all, so it may be a little more difficult for your son(s) or grandson(s) to navigate through the guide; but the chapters/sections are complete once you arrive there. Some errors have been detected in this book, but not too many that it has stopped parents or grandparents from getting it for their son(s) or grandson(s).  Also, a few people would like to see more sample problems/ questions at the end of the chapters/sections.

  • This book is designed to appeal to middle schoolers and built so that you think you are looking at the notebook of the typical grade “A” student class nerd because it seems to be totally complete with regards to its underlined and hi-lighted facts, illustrations, lists, graphs, quizzes & answers, and more - unbelievable!
  • The pages are designed to be engaging using a nice assortment of vibrant colors to pleasingly attract your son's or grandson's attention as they page their way through the guide.
  • Questions and answers are easily found at the end of each chapter/section, so you can quickly check your knowledge, and not in the back of the book, but instead on the very next page after the questions - maybe a little too easy?

    Things to Know/Tips:

While using this study guide make it a point to have some scratch paper and a pencil ready because this book does not provide areas for one to practice.

    The Good:

    • Great reference guide
    • Genuinely loved by all
    • Highly recommended
    • For formal classroom middle/ home schoolers

    The Bad:

    • No index
    • Errors
    • Could have more sample problems

    My Overall Take:

Another one of these fine study guides that qualifies as one of my best books for middle school boys, and why not? As it has proven itself again and again!  Math is by far not the easiest subject for many of our sons or grandsons, but this book takes something challenging and makes it fun to succeed!  Hey parents/grandparents!  Are you use to hearing - “I need help!” This study guide will help your son(s) or grandson(s) to help themselves which is a very good thing for us parents and grandparents.
