Best Books for Middle School Boys


Hello parents and grandparents!  If you are looking for some good resource guides to help your son(s) or grandson(s) with their school work - I have put together my best books for middle school boys; as these study guides make the subjects much more fun and easier to understand.  A series of five great reference guides that get it done as they are designed to cover a broad area of topics but do not go into great detail as they are for reference, and helping your son(s) or grandson(s) to successfully get through their required curriculum.   Also, every one of these books is highly rated, and loved by those who use them - teachers, students, parents and grandparents alike.  Finally, each one of these study guides is on my list of good books for raising boys!

1) Everything You Need to Ace Science in One Big Fat Notebook: The Complete Middle School Study Guide

The Good:

  • Fun, easy to read and understand
  • Recommended by teachers

  • Could provide more in-depth explanations
  • Inaccuracies

My Overall Take:
This book ranks as one of my best books for middle school boys and would make a very nice addition to any middle schoolers reference materials because it provides a wealth of scientific information through fun, and understandable easy reading - a must have!   How often when your son(s) or grandson(s) are doing their homework do you hear – “I need help?  This study guide will enable them to help themselves which makes it really nice for us parents and grandparents.

2) Everything You Need to Ace American History in One Big Fat Notebook: The Complete Middle School Study Guide

The Good:

  • Fun, easy to understand
  • Teacher approved!
  • For formal classroom middle/ home schoolers

 The Bad:

  • No index
  • Could provide more in-depth explanations
  • Inaccuracies

My Overall Take:

This study guide qualifies as one of my best books for middle school boys because it is designed to make it fun and easy to understand.  A definite must have for struggling American History students, and one that would nicely compliment your son’s or grandson’s reference materials.  Tell me - do you often hear – “I need help!” from your son(s) or grandson(s)?  This study guide will help them to learn on their own, which can be a very good thing for us parents and grandparents…

  • Genuinely loved by all
  • For formal classroom middle/ home schoolers

My Overall Take:

This study guide qualifies as one of my best books for middle school boys and would nicely complement your son’s or grandson’s reference materials, as it is designed for middle schoolers and put together so that it makes it fun and easy to learn - a definite must have for struggling English Language Arts students, and a great resource guide for those who just love it.  Do you frequently hear – “I need help!” from your son(s) or grandson(s)?  This study guide will help them to help themselves in many cases which translates to a win-win for us parents and grandparents.

My Overall Take:

Another one of these fine study guides that qualifies as one of my best books for middle school boys, and why not? As it has proven itself again and again!  Math is by far not the easiest subject for many of our boys, but this book takes something challenging and makes it fun to succeed!  Hey parents/grandparents!  Are you use to hearing - “I need help!” This study guide will help your son(s) or grandson(s) to help themselves which is a very good thing for us parents and grandparents.

  • Content omissions and evolution

My Overall Take:

A fine study guides that qualifies as one of my best books for middle school boys, because this book like others in this nice series of resource guides makes something challenging fun and enjoyable.  Hey parents/grandparents!  Do you hear - “I need help” more often than not? Do yourself a favor and help your son(s) or grandson(s) to help themselves, and you will see the direct benefit which is a very good thing for everyone involved.
